In short
A venue's Taplink page is a one-link mini-site for Instagram: menu, opening hours, map, WhatsApp, booking and reviews. Put actions at the top, details below and keep 6-8 blocks. In User-QR the builder with 17 block types is part of the Pro plan (180 000 ₸ per year), and the page takes about 30 minutes to build.
A restaurant's Taplink page is a mini-site behind one short link: the menu, opening hours, a map, a WhatsApp button, booking, social profiles and reviews on one phone screen. The link goes into the Instagram bio, the WhatsApp Business profile and the 2GIS listing, so a guest from any channel lands where they can pick a dish, call or book a table. In User-QR the page is assembled from ready-made blocks on the Pro plan and lives at uqr.kz/en/your-venue/taplink. Let us go through what to put on it, in what order and how to build it in half an hour.
Why a restaurant needs a Taplink page
Social networks give you one slot for a link, while a guest needs several things from a venue at once: see the menu, find out whether it is open right now, get directions, message or book. A one-link page solves that without a website:
- The menu opens in one tap - and User-QR analytics counts that visit the same way as a QR scan.
- Opening hours with an "open now" status stop the "are you open?" calls.
- The map leads to 2GIS or Google Maps for directions.
- WhatsApp and phone - buttons, not text to copy.
- Table and hall booking - a request form instead of a DM thread.
- Reviews, gallery, promos - what used to live in pinned stories.
For the venue it replaces a business-card website; for the guest, hunting for information across three different apps.
Which blocks to put on the page
The User-QR builder has 17 block types. These do most of the work:
| Block | What it does | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Cover and logo | A full-width photo of the room or a dish, the logo, a language switcher | Same style as the menu photos |
| "Menu" button | Leads to the QR menu via the service address - the visit lands in analytics | The first button on the page |
| Opening hours | A schedule by day and an "open/closed now" status | State late-night hours honestly - the search markup is built from this block |
| Map | Address and a jump to 2GIS / Google Maps | Check the pin is on your entrance, not the next building |
| WhatsApp, phone, email | Smart links: enter a number and the button opens a chat or a call | One number that is answered during the shift |
| Social row | A row of Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Telegram icons | Live accounts only |
| Booking | A button to the hall and table booking page | For venues with halls, banquets, karaoke |
| Dish of the week | A card for a dish picked from your menu | Change it weekly - a reason to come back to the page |
| Gallery and promo banner | Photos of the room, offers, seasonal specials | A banner with dates, not an open-ended "special offer" |
| Reviews | Guest quotes with names | Real ones, with the authors' permission |
| "Good to know" | A button opening a sheet with text: parking, hookah, kids' area, payment | Three or four points, no more |
| Video | YouTube/Vimeo or an uploaded clip, including a floating mini-player | A short clip of the room or the kitchen |
Block order: from actions to details
A guest opens the page with a specific goal, so actions go on top and details below:
- Cover, logo, name.
- Menu - the main button.
- Opening hours and map - "is it open and how do I get there".
- WhatsApp / phone / booking - "get in touch".
- Dish of the week, promos, gallery.
- Reviews and "Good to know".
- Social row - at the very bottom: the guest has just come from a social network.
If you deliver, put the delivery page button right after the menu: how it works is covered in our article on WhatsApp delivery.
How to build it in User-QR in 30 minutes
- Enable Pro. Taplink is part of the Pro plan - 180 000 ₸ per year; the first 14 days of Pro are free on sign-up and the builder is available immediately.
- Open the Taplink section in the admin panel and add the blocks from the list above. Texts in Kazakh, Russian and English, just like the menu.
- Smart links. For WhatsApp enter the number, for Instagram the handle: the address builds itself. For 2GIS and Google Maps paste the link to your listing.
- Colours. Pick a ready-made colour pair for buttons or your own; the builder warns when text is hard to read on the background and suggests a safe option.
- Check the preview on the phone mock-up and open the page from a real phone: every button must lead where it promises.
- Place the link: Instagram bio, WhatsApp Business profile, 2GIS listing, TikTok caption, the banquet manager's email signature.
Taplink and search
When opening hours and the map are filled in, the page gets LocalBusiness markup - search engines understand it is a venue with an address and a schedule. Pages of active Pro venues are included in the uqr.kz sitemap and can appear for searches with the venue's name. That does not replace a 2GIS or Google Business listing, but complements them with a link you control yourself.
Mistakes that stop the page working
- Twenty buttons. Guests do not read - keep 6–8 blocks and move the rest into "Good to know".
- No opening hours. The guest's most common question goes unanswered and the search markup is not built.
- A link to an aggregator instead of your own delivery. Commission and someone else's brand - while your delivery page already exists in User-QR.
- Dead links. Check monthly: the number changed, TikTok closed, the 2GIS listing moved.
- One language. The page switches between Kazakh, Russian and English - fill in all three; guests arrive from social media in every language.
- A cover shot on a phone in the dark. The first screen decides whether the guest stays; shoot the cover in daylight by a window.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost? Taplink is part of the Pro plan - 180 000 ₸ per year together with unlimited items, delivery, booking and full analytics. The first 14 days of Pro are free on sign-up. Plan comparison on the pricing page.
Does the page work without a QR menu? The page lives on its own, but its main button leads to your QR menu, so a filled-in menu is the first thing to do. How to build it in one evening is in our guide.
Can I add video? Yes: a YouTube or Vimeo clip, or an uploaded video - as a regular block or a floating mini-player in the corner of the screen.
Do I need a separate domain? No. The page lives at a short address on uqr.kz with your venue's name; you can print it on business cards and packaging too.
