Your own WhatsApp delivery means the guest opens the venue's delivery page via a QR code or a link, builds a cart, enters a phone number and address, and the order arrives in the venue's WhatsApp as a ready-made message. There is no commission per order, the guest's contact stays with you, and confirmation and payment happen in the usual chat. On User-QR this page is part of the Pro plan. This article covers why venues need their own channel, how it works, where to place the QR and the link, how to handle orders and what to check before launch.
Why a venue needs its own delivery channel
Delivery aggregators bring new guests but take a commission on every order and keep the guest's contact: a repeat order goes through the aggregator again and costs a commission again. Your own channel solves three things:
- Economics. A yearly QR-menu subscription is a fixed amount; WhatsApp orders carry no commission.
- Guest base. The phone number of everyone who orders stays with you — for repeat orders, promo messages and bookings.
- Brand. The guest orders from you, not “in the app”, and sees your colours, photos and prices.
Aggregators do not have to be switched off: many venues keep them for new customers and move regulars to their own channel.
How the delivery page works on User-QR
- The guest opens the delivery page — via a separate QR code (on packaging, a receipt, a flyer) or a link from Instagram and the Taplink page. No app needed.
- Builds a cart from the same menu as in the room: photos, options, quantities. The menu is in Kazakh, Russian and English.
- Enters a phone number, address and wishes, chooses delivery or pickup and a time.
- The order goes to the venue's WhatsApp as a ready message — with contents, total, address and the guest's phone.
- You confirm the order in the chat, agree the time and payment method — the way you already talk to guests.
- Guest data is saved in the admin — a list of delivery customers with order history.
Where to place the delivery QR and link
| Place | Why | |---|---| | Instagram bio (via the Taplink page) | The main entry for new guests | | Packaging and takeaway bags | A repeat order in two taps | | Receipt and table tent in the room | “Order at home what you liked here” | | Stories and posts with promotions | Ordering straight from content | | Flyers and stickers at the entrance | Passers-by and nearby offices | | WhatsApp Business signature and status | Guests who have already messaged you |
The delivery link can also sit on the venue's Taplink page together with opening hours, a map and a “Call” button — one link answers all the guest's questions.
How to handle orders without losing them
- One WhatsApp number for orders and a person responsible for it per shift. An order left unanswered for 10 minutes is usually cancelled.
- A confirmation template: “Received, the order will be ready in 40 minutes, payment on delivery in cash or by transfer.” Save it as a quick reply.
- Zones and minimum order. Describe delivery zones and the minimum order right on the delivery page and in the welcome message — it removes half of the questions.
- Payment. Agree in the chat: cash to the courier, transfer, a terminal with the courier — whatever you use. With the Poster POS integration the order can go through the till.
- Stop-list. A dish runs out — hide it in the admin and it disappears from both the room and delivery.
Combining with aggregators
A sensible scheme for most venues: aggregators for attracting new guests, your own channel for regulars. Put a business card or sticker with the QR for your own delivery and a small bonus for the first direct order into every aggregator order. The guest base gradually moves to the commission-free channel.

FAQ
Does the guest need to install an app? No. The delivery page opens in the browser via QR or link, and the order is sent to WhatsApp, which the guest already has.
Is there a commission per order? No. The delivery page is part of the Pro plan (180 000 ₸ per year) with no limit on the number of orders.
How does the guest pay? You agree the payment method in the chat: cash, transfer, the courier's terminal. The order can be put through the POS.
Can we take pickup orders? Yes. The guest chooses pickup and a time, and you prepare the order for their arrival — it relieves the queue at peak.
What about the customer base? Phone numbers and order history are available in the admin under delivery customers — for repeat orders and promotions.
